January 18, 2017 marks the second Global Pulse Day designed to emphasize the benefits of pulses for farmers, consumers, and the environment. IFPRI’s research, technical support, and outreach activities on pulses have provided inputs to policy discussions.

December 5 marks World Soil Day. Through its cutting-edge research, IFPRI has been informing policies and strategies that protect the soil for the benefit of the billions of people who depend on it.
IFPRI’s climate change research has played a critical role informing the global dialogue regarding agriculture and climate change. At COP22 on November 7-18, 2016, IFPRI will contribute its new research to place agriculture at the heart of the negotiations.
IFPRI has played an important role promoting evidence-based policies and investments, contributing to Bangladesh’s remarkable progress. The Institute’s work will be celebrated at its Bangladesh Country Office Inaugural Ceremony on October 24, 2016 in Dhaka.
